There have always been frictions between generations and, as you aptly said - 'there are shitty people among all generations.' That said, 'onslaught' of all those, including older people, who are not perfect and are either unwilling or unable or both to pay for endless products and procedures to achieve/keep/ensure 'eternal youth' is primarily caused by a mixture of unrestrained capitalism and technology... says an old woman!
