Hi Niall,

I enjoyed the post - I love Poe and I appreciate your approach. I have also noticed lack of articles about famous writers and their work, and you are right in saying that most (if not all) writers are mostly concerned with their own writings. I can only add - even less are prepared to admit it! For me poetry has always been, and remains, the closest 'thing' we have to the divine - what ever it may mean to us. Which is also why I find impossible to 'agree' or 'disagree' with your (or anyone else's) analysis. For poetry ‘happens when nothing else can’ – said one of my favourite poets -😊!

Thank you.
